Mobeus welcomes Justin Maltz as business expands
Mobeus is delighted to announce that Justin Maltz has joined the team as Portfolio Director, acting as a non-executive director on a number of Mobeus investee companies, and providing support with business planning and growth. This is part of a significant expansion at Mobeus as the firm pursues a broader investment strategy which includes growth and buyout capital on behalf of retail and institutional investors. The firm now has over £350 million FUM and 20 investment professionals.
Justin is an experienced private equity investor and non-executive director, with over 20 years as a dealmaker, board member and partner to growing businesses. Previously with 3i and HSBC, he has worked with more than 50 PE-backed businesses in a range of sectors. He has extensive experience in the consumer sector, with the likes of GO Outdoors, Busaba, Giraffe and EAT, but has also helped companies in business services, housebuilding, media, IT and healthcare.
Clive Austin commented "We are delighted to be working with seasoned investors such as Justin. He is a key addition to the team. At a personal level, having worked with Justin before, it is great to renew old acquaintances and to revive a working relationship which dates back over 10 years."
Justin Maltz commented “It’s an exciting time to be working with Mobeus, as the firm is growing its team and funds under management in an attractive part of the market. I am really looking forward to supporting the entrepreneurs and management teams at a number of their investee companies to deliver their ambitions for growth.”
